Try our Alhambra mosaic workshop – a unique experience in Barcelona.
The mosaics of The Alhambra are some of the most mesmerising creations in the world, and this is the only place you can make one yourself.
We provide hundreds of handcrafted tiles in different shapes (like Lego!) and a full range of ceramic paints. You’ll select pieces that work together, arrange them into your chosen pattern, then paint everything in colours that you love. No artistic experience needed – just watch something stunning come together under your hands.
Once you understand how these shapes work together, you have a skill you can use to decorate anything – trays, mirrors, tables, and more!
In this class you’ll take home a finished mosaic in the style of The Alhambra which can be used as a coaster or as a decorate wall piece. It’s the perfect plan with friends, a partner or family – drinks, snacks and wine all included.

Such a brilliant class! Nick (the teacher) really knows his stuff and made it easy even for beginners to make the most beautiful coasters. I had such a fun time picking my pattern and colours and I loved the end result. It’s so great being able to make something useful and beautiful.
The atmosphere is really welcoming and friendly, which makes it so nice to go alone or with some friends. I’d love to come back again and make more coasters !

I was lucky enough to have recently taken part in one of the Alhambra Studios ornate coaster and tray building workshops. Having received excellent advice from the host and chosen a black and white geometric design, I was really pleased with the result. I also have to say we had a great laugh. There were about 10 of us and plenty of wine to oil our creativity and let the conversation flow.
I’d highly recommend this activity if you’re part of a group or just as a chance to meet new people in a novel setting!

Not only did Nick explain really well how to make the coasters and the patterns, also was it really fun to be creative together. In the end we got take our coasters home, which now serve as reminders of this great date!
